National Exhibition of Welsh Pony and Cob Breeds – Plasy

27/10/2025

About three days before the event, I still didn't even know I would be photographing another event full of Welsh ponies. But one comment and the sentence, "I think a lot of Welsh enthusiasts already know you," decided everything. So the backpack was packed, extra clothes added, and on Saturday at 5 a.m., we headed toward Plasy. I rarely photograph near Pilsen, and it was great that I could stay over at a friend's place in Kladno (whom I hadn't seen for a month). So everything actually turned out perfectly.

On Saturday morning, I was very happy with the light, BUT in the afternoon we all got thoroughly soaked. And on Sunday, we got a little roasted instead. In other words, when the weather decides to have fun with us.

But those two days were an amazing ride. Plasy is truly a beautiful place (and that monastery!). I didn't expect to see so many familiar faces there either.

So let's enjoy a few photos, and if you want to see more, check out my Zonerama!
