Dressage – Dressage Competitions Hnanice

08/12/2025

On St. Wenceslas Day, a small dressage competition took place in Hnanice, nearly on the border between the Liberec and Hradec Králové regions, in a beautiful location between Trosky and Hrubá Skála. We were able to enjoy horses of all colors and sizes. While we regularly see warmbloods at dressage events, today's East Bohemian Dressage Cup proved that it truly is for all horses. In addition to Czech and Slovak warmbloods, we could see a Bavarian warmblood, an Oldenburg, a Shagya Arabian, Welsh ponies of cob type, Welsh part-breds, Fjord horses, and even a Shetland pony! In short, an incredible variety of breeds.

I'm curious to see if next week, at the big final of the East Bohemian Dressage Cup on October 4th in Apolenka, there will be such a wide selection of breeds as well.
