Horse Day Lomnice nad Popelkou

On June 7th, I was supposed to be somewhere else (Prague), but the weather wasn't great and my friend was supposed to be christening a foal at the HORSE DAY event in Lomnice nad Popelkou, so I packed up in the morning and went there. Considering how busy I am, this was my first time at this event (and probably not my last).

But the weather there was absolutely crazy and hats off to everyone who decided to gallop in the rain during their performances and also to those who showed their horses in all gaits during the dressage. All performances had their charms, as the stallions from Národní Hřebčín Kladruby with their pas de deux, the Nývlt family also showed off historical machines, Stáj Trojan came with her Hungarian post and even a jigitovka – in the worst rain – the girls were amazing and the audience cheered. And actually the first performance was a pushball of horses from Fjordského hřebčína,I just can't remember whether the red or blue team won. Mr. Omar's whip performance I think it also attracted all the brave ones who braved the rain. The Cavalry Guard from the Krkonoše Mountains even showed up with their Hutsul horses from Farmy Hucul. 

But there were more performances and each (really each) had its own thing and Lenka Gotthardova performed the entire program.
